For the Zorg-Taxi website and app · 24 September 2026

When you calculate a fare, book or manage a journey, we use personal data. This statement explains what we use, why we use it and how you can exercise your privacy rights.

Who is responsible?

Zorgtaxi is a trading name of LuchthavenExpress B.V., Schieland 22, 8245 GH Lelystad, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce number 73321605. LuchthavenExpress B.V. is responsible for processing personal data for the Zorg-Taxi service. For questions or requests, contact info@zorg-taxi.nl or +31 88 678 5000. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00–16:00.

What data do we use?

  • Contact and account details, including your name, email address, telephone number, language preference and login details.
  • Journey details, including pick-up and destination addresses, stops, date, time, passenger count, vehicle choice and requested practical assistance.
  • Booking, payment and invoice details, including your booking reference, fare, payment status, billing address and business details where applicable.
  • Messages, pick-up instructions, service enquiries and reviews you provide.
  • Technical data needed for operation and security, including IP addresses, session data and errors. The app uses a device token for push notifications.

We receive data from you or from someone booking for you, such as a relative, employer or care organisation. Drivers and our payment and planning systems provide journey and payment status updates. If you book for someone else, inform them about the booking and this statement and only share necessary information.

Why do we use these data?

We use necessary data to calculate a fare, fulfil your reservation, plan transport and assistance, inform you about your journey and handle payments, changes and cancellations. This processing is necessary to enter into and perform the transport agreement. Without the required contact and journey details, we cannot fulfil your booking.

We retain financial records to meet legal obligations. We have a legitimate interest in security, preventing misuse, resolving faults and handling complaints, while taking your privacy into account. You may withdraw consent for optional functions that require consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Assistance and sensitive information

A hospital address, ward or assistance choice may reveal information about your health. Only provide practical information needed for transport, such as the floor or where your driver should report. Do not enter a diagnosis, medical records or national identification number in bookings or messages. Zorg-Taxi provides transport and practical assistance, not medical treatment. The planner and driver involved use your instructions to provide the assistance you have requested.

Who receives data?

The driver involved receives the information needed for your journey. We use MijnTaxiritten B.V. for journey planning and app technology, Mollie for payments, Jortt for invoicing and bookkeeping, hosting and email services, Google services for address and route calculations, Apple/Google for mobile notifications and Dropbox for encrypted backups. These parties receive data for their respective tasks. You enter payment details with the payment provider; we receive payment statuses and references for our records.

Suppliers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers require appropriate safeguards, such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. You can ask us which supplier and safeguards apply to your data. We disclose information to competent authorities where legally required.

Website, app and notifications

Cookies and local storage support login, booking and preferences. The app may locally retain the source of a campaign or advertising link for up to 30 days and send it with a booking. You should be given a choice before non-essential tracking that requires consent. You can clear browser storage and disable app notifications in your phone settings. Doing so does not cancel a journey.

Fares are calculated automatically using the route, vehicle and selected service. You see the fare before booking. Contact us if you have questions about the result.

How long do we keep data?

  • Operational booking and journey data: normally up to 730 days after the last relevant processing, after which they are removed or stripped of personal data.
  • Messages and booking events in journey records: normally up to 365 days.
  • Closed technical app sessions and technical records covered by automatic cleanup: normally up to 90 days.
  • Financial records: generally seven years where required by statutory record-keeping obligations.
  • Account details: for as long as your account is needed. You may request deletion; information needed for ongoing journeys or legal obligations may be retained.
  • Encrypted website backups: up to twelve months within the current recovery history. Deleted data may remain in these copies until they expire; the copies are intended for recovery.

A relevant retention period may be extended for an ongoing dispute, legal obligation or necessary investigation. This is limited to the information needed for that purpose.

Security and your rights

We use access restrictions, secure connections and encrypted backups to protect data. Access to an account does not automatically grant access to other people’s bookings.

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data and object to processing based on a legitimate interest. Email info@zorg-taxi.nl with enough information to identify your account or booking, but do not send an unsolicited copy of your identity document. We may verify your identity appropriately. We normally respond within one month; if an extension is necessary, we will inform you within that month.

You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. When this statement changes, we will publish an updated version here with a new date.
